We live in a digital age that gives us the wonderful luxury of having ability to watch a movie and have that blockbuster experience in the comfort of your own home. There are many different platforms that you can choose from that give you a whole library of movie, TV series, and many other options to check out. The top five movie platforms that are commonly used are Hulu, Amazon Prime, Disney+, Netflix, and YouTube. These five each have contracts with many different companies that sponsor some amazing movies, shows, and so much more to enjoy.
Each platform has different genres, series, and movies that they promote. They also have a monthly fee that can also be turned into a yearly fee also, but that is your choice when you sign-up in the beginning. Most of these platforms do allow for a seven day trial period which is great because that gives you time to see if that one is for you or not. Personally I am signed up for all of them but I know some people that like one or the other and so on. It is a preference for each individual to figure out.
Disney+ has become a family favorite for me and my family because of all the amazing options that are available for everyone to enjoy. You have access to the Marvel movies along with the series that they promote as well, like Agents of Shield and Marvel Runaways. Then there is the endless count of Disney movies including ones from the vault that you can access anywhere. They also have the Star Wars franchise available including the new series The Mandalorian available for you to enjoy if you are a fan. Lastly they also have available are Pixar movies and shorts along with National Geographic shows to peak your interest. Disney+ even has a deal with Hulu that you can sign up for them both together for a great deal as well. Something to at least check out if you are fan of Disney.
Hulu is a great platform for those who like to follow their favorite shows. For me I use it personally to keep up with shows like Modern Family, American Housewife, Greys Anatomy, 911, Station 19, and so many other shows that come on weekly that you can follow without cable. It is very convenient when you don't have cable and need to follow some of your favorite shows. They have many shows and movies they promote and so many genres to check out. You get a seven day trial when you signup which gives you ample time to see if it is a good fit for you.
YouTube is a great platform to enjoy your favorite tunes! Music is my jam, especially when you don't have to worry about commercials. This platform is free to join but if you want the luxury of not having disruptions from commercials then you will need to sign up for the premium package which is not bad. It runs about $9.99 a month but gives you lots of great perks to enjoy. You can also buy and rent movies on this platform as well.
Netflix is one of the most well-known and popular movie platforms out there. It has numerous categories filled with new and old movies, series, and so much more to check out. It runs also $9.99 a month now also but has a lot of great oldies as well. This platform is also a great fit for kids as well because you can set up a kids account and parental controls also.
Amazon Prime is really neat because it has a great setup regarding channels, movies, and series that it promotes. You can sign up for channels separate from Prime also, so keep that in mind if you like shows or movies that are in channels you see. Also a perk of Prime is that you get fast delivery on items you buy, and so many other great perks. Amazon is setup to make life easier on all fronts while providing a great service that offers you a wide variety of movies to watch wherever you are.
All of these platforms are great and I recommend you check them all out yourself if you haven't already. Also it never hurts to signup for the trial period also. This gives you a chance to have a personal peak at what is offered without the commitment to pay. You can then decide if you want to end the subscription before the trial period is up and there is no risk involved.
